Five radical innovations voice brings to gaming

Five radical innovations voice brings to gaming

I joined Doppio a year ago as a Product Manager because I shared the company’s vision that voice technology, and more broadly Natural Language Processing, would enable developers to create radically new games - games that have never been made before. Here are five ways in which voice-first games are unique in the gaming landscape.

Happy Birthday, Doppio!

Happy Birthday, Doppio!

Two years in, we’ve been fortunate to have some success with our first two titles, The Vortex and The 3% Challenge, both of which approach the challenge of designing fun and engaging voice games from slightly different angles.

I wouldn’t say, however, that we’ve found the “perfect formula” for success here yet. We believe that just falling into complacency with existing design patterns and limiting oneself to just building more of the same sort of games that already exist would be a terrible mistake to make in this space right now.

4C: Prague

Development conferences are great opportunities to connect with peers and to get inspired. On October 5-6, we will be in Prague as part of the organization team for the 4C conference. It will be two days of great presentations from speakers representing companies like Blizzard, Wargaming, Arkane Studios, Disney Parks, Electronic Arts, Riot Games, Rovio Entertainment, Microsoft, Guerilla Games, Remedy Entertainment and many others.

If you're at the conference, please come say hi!
